The new Starbucks logo which shows a mermaid with partially-covered breasts has created controversy.
A Christian group based in San Diego called The Resistance says the logo looks like a naked woman with her legs spread like a prostitute. The group is calling for a national boycott of Starbucks.

Recently, Starbucks Coffee introduced two additional flavors for their popular Hot Chocolate. Now Hot Chocolate are available with Caramel flavor and Hazelnut flavor. I have tried the Hazelnut Hot Chocolate and I felt that the hazelnut has a strong taste that I could not even differentiate whether it’s a Hot Chocolate or another cup of coffee. But, overall, it tastes quite good, a little bit too sweet – but I love sweetness.
Starbucks ups price. I remembered I had a Java Chip Frappuccino with hazel nut syrup this morning, the price was a staggering MYR 16.28 for a Grande-size! Last time, even a Venti-size Frappuccino cost less than MYR 15.00.

Recently, Starbucks in the United States was being sued for using trans fats. Trans fats are dangerous synthetic fats and many are not aware of this.
Many fast food restaurants have trans fats in their products. This is not even including the many other restaurants, especially quality restaurants which uses partially hydrogenated oil and served baked goods containing partially hydrogenated oil. At least McDonald’s is diligently trying to reduce trans fats in its cooking oil and has had some success in reducing it in its fried chicken products. Many other restaurant operations are not even trying.
