Many of us have dreams to become an astronaut, or least to fly into the space trillions of miles from planet Earth. But, most of us would never get our dreams achieved because the selection process to become an astronaut can be very exhaustive - considering the requirements to become an astronaut is very stringent.
Recently, medical officer Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor and army dental surgeon Kapt Dr Faiz Khaleed are Malaysia’s final two astronaut candidates, selected from the more than 10,000 applicants. Out of these two, only one will be chosen to become the first Malaysian astronaut.
If you feel envy of them, feel not anymore because you can become the first Malaysian (or “insert your nationality here”) to go into the space before one of these two candidates! Remember Madonna’s desire to become a space tourist? Well, you can be one too - by paying USD$20 million. You might not be in the record books for being the first (Malaysian) astronaut in space but you will be in the books for being the first (Malaysian) in space!
