Chicago-born rap artist Dolla whom had recently signed a deal with rap star Akon’s Konvict Muzik, with singles including “Feelin Myself” and “I’m Tore Up” is shot dead outside at the entrance to the Beverly Center.

Dolla’s publicist Sue Vannasing said the rapper had been shot in the head while he and another rapper, DJ Shabbazz, waited outside after shopping at the mall at around 3:00pm (2200 GMT).

Finally, the actor for the movie "Notorious B.I.G." has been found. Jamal "Gravy" Woolard will be playing the legendary MC, Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace in the movie.

“Finding B.I.G. was a task in itself, and I’m honored that so many young men came out to audition for the role,” Voletta Wallace, Biggie’s mother, said in a statement released Thursday (March 6). “However, it was Jamal’s charming personality, warm spirit, wonderful sense of humor and beautiful smile that won my heart. He is a talented and charismatic actor, and I am excited that he will bring Christopher’s character to the big screen.”

Meanwhile, Derek Luke will play Sean "Diddy" Combs, while Anthony Mackie has been cast as Tupac Shakur.
