Oscar Nomination for Heath Ledger

The late Heath Ledger, who plays the obnoxious Joker is nominated for the Best Supporting Actor, together with Josh Brolin ("Milk"), Robert Downey Jr. ("Tropic Thunder") and Philip Seymour Hoffman ("Doubt") for the 81st Annual Academy Awards.

However, "The Dark Knight" is excluded from the Best Picture and Best Director categories.

Why so serious? After all, we all love "The Dark Knight" largely due to Heath Ledger’s wonderful performance. May he wins the Oscar.

Like many previous years, Oscar is always bleak and top box office movies like Transformers and Spider-man 3 and The Simpsons have not been included.

Anyways, from the list of nominees, it’s tough to predict the winners except for Ratatouille for the Animated Feature Film category. However, I have a very strong instinct that Saoirse Ronan will win the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in Atonement. What’s your prediction?

We’ll give away two movie tickets (or $10 Paypal, if you live outside Malaysia) if you can manage to predict the winners for every category above. So, guess right away!
