Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz are now engaged

Ashlee Simpson, 23, and Pete Wentz, 28. Pete popped the question while the couple was in Colorado and got down on one knee. “She has an amazing ring, and they are so in love,” says a family friend. Ashlee’s parents approve, but after her sister Jessica’s young, failed marriage you’d think the Simpson’s would be a little more cautious about having another daughter racing to the alter.

Ashlee Simpson, 23 and Fall Out Boy singer/bassist Pete Wentz, 28 are getting married, they announced Wednesday.

“We know there has been a lot of speculation recently about Pete and I, and we wanted our fans to be the first to know, because you guys are the best,” Simpson said in a statement posted on friendsorenemies.com. “Yes, we are thrilled to share that we are happily engaged. Thank you for all of your support and well wishes – it means the world to us. We consider this to be a very private matter, and we wanted to be the first to tell you and to hear it straight from us.”

Simpson and Wentz have been a linked since the fall of 2006, when they were spotted kissing at a New York nightclub.

According to People magazine, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are Married after the couple get a marriage license less than a week ago.

Though there is no official confirmation, the friend says, “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”

The ceremony was followed by a lavish party at the rapper’s Tribeca apartment that drew Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow. Also seen was Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband, Chris Martin.

Rumors of a wedding between Beyoncé Knowles and longtime beau Jay-Z have been sticking around the Internet for quite some time. However, all that are going to change as People magazine reports Beyoncé and Jay-Z have taken marriage license.

According to People, Beyoncé Knowles and her rapper boyfriend Jay-Z have taken out a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y.

A source told the magazine that the pair obtained a license Tuesday morning. The document is valid for 60 days.

Despite that, denials were still strong. When reached for comment, a rep for Beyoncé told People, “No comment.” While Jay-Z’s spokesperson could not be reached.

Beyoncé, 26, and Jay-Z, 38, have been dating since year 2002, though the couple have stood reluctant to discuss their relationship publicly. Rumors about their romance began circulating after the singer appeared on Jay-Z’s song “03 Bonnie & Clyde,” followed by collaborations on Beyoncé’s solo hit “Crazy in Love,” in 2003.

Beyoncé once said, “You can’t rush a man into anything - whether it’s a relationship, marriage or having children. When he’s ready, he’ll let you know.”

Star Magazine is reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie got married on Saturday in New Orleans. Pitt’s publicist is however clueless if Brangelina got married or not.

While People is reporting there was no wedding for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Jennifer Love Hewitt, the star of Ghost Whisperer and Party of Five is engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The engagement took place last week, added the spokesperson. Hewitt, 28, and McCall, 31, have been a couple for almost two years.

This will be the first marriage for both. No wedding date has been set.
