What do you get when you put two comedians into one movie? You get a movie that is way too hilarious sometimes it doesn’t seem any funny as it is. In "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", Adam Sandler and Kevin James (of The King of Queens fame) acted as husband and husband, though, in many occasions, everyone refers Sandler as the wife.
Chuck Levine (played by Adam Sandler) and Larry Valentine (Kevin James) are firefighters and very good friends. Larry’s a widower with two kids while Chuck is single and a big-time womanizer. One day, while on a rescue mission, Chuck playfully dares Larry to eat a dead rat, but Chuck falls from the ladder that he is going to the drop the rat from. Larry saves Chuck but the two are rushed to the hospital and quickly recover. Larry calls in that favor big time when civic red tape prevents him from naming his two kids as his pension beneficiaries. All that Chuck has to do is claim to be Larry’s domestic partner on some city forms. They think it will be easy because nobody will ever know.
After Larry becomes worried after an initial visit from an officer. They then go to consult Alex McDonough (Jessica Biel), a super hot lawyer as Larry is worried he’ll get caught for cheating government’s money.
Alex suggests that Chuck and Larry get married officially in Canada. After Chuck agrees to the ruse, the two men go to Niagara Falls in Canada to get married. As time goes on, an official named Clinton Fitzer from the city council keeps popping up in their neighborhood suspiciously while Larry and Chuck tries to fend him off continuously. As the movie goes on, Chuck and Larry are brought to the court to face justice by Clinton Fitzer. Will Chuck and Larry be able to defend their lies? Watch the movie to find out!
Overall, this is a somewhat funny movie with a lot of slapsticks that are related to gays and lesbians. Sometimes, the movie may seems a little offensive to the gay community. Or maybe not. It’s fun to watch, just don’t watch it with your kids.

The movie is about Eisenheim who falls in love with Sophie, a duchess well above his social standing. As a teenager, Eisenheim is the son of a carpenter. One day, he meets a traveling magician along a road. The magician performs several tricks for him and then, both the magician and the tree he was sitting under vanish. Eisenheim becomes obsessed with magic tricks after this and also falls in love with Sophie. Eisenheim tells of his plans to go to China to learn more magic and Sophie promises to go with him. On the day that they are going to leave, however, the police come looking for Sophie. The two hide in the secret room and Sophie begs Eisenheim to make them both disappear. However, he is unable to fulfill the request to make both of them disappear and the two are separated.
Eisenheim leaves his village to travel the world and perfect his magic after this. He returns a master illusionist, only to find that Sophie is expected to marry the ruthless Crown Prince Leopold (Sewell), who is well known for abusing his lady friends. After humiliating the crown prince during a private show, Eisenheim finds his hit performance shut out of Vienna. Eisenheim and Sophie, having recognized each other at a performance, meet privately and finally consume their love. Their romance begun anew, they plan to elope; but first, Sophie points out, something must be done to stop Leopold, who, she reveals, is planning a coup d’etat to take control of Austria from his aging father, the emperor, while using his engagement to her to win the support of Hungary. When Leopold finds out from Uhl, who was following the couple, he apparently kills Sophie in a drunken rage. Unfortunately, Leopold’s aristocratic social standing makes any accusations against him unthinkable. As Eisenheim plunges into despair and the citizens of Vienna begin to suspect Leopold of murder, Uhl begins to observe Eisenheim’s actions more closely.
Distressed with grief, Eisenheim prepares a new kind of magic show, using mysterious equipment and Chinese workers and performed the greatest illusion ever.
