Though there is no official confirmation, the friend says, “It happened earlier this evening. Jay wanted it to be a really private affair – close friends and family.”
The ceremony was followed by a lavish party at the rapper’s Tribeca apartment that drew Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles, her father/manager Mathew, her sister Solange, her Destiny’s Child mates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, and the couple’s friend Gwyneth Paltrow. Also seen was Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband, Chris Martin.
According to People, Beyoncé Knowles and her rapper boyfriend Jay-Z have taken out a marriage license in Scarsdale, N.Y.
A source told the magazine that the pair obtained a license Tuesday morning. The document is valid for 60 days.
Despite that, denials were still strong. When reached for comment, a rep for Beyoncé told People, “No comment.” While Jay-Z’s spokesperson could not be reached.
Beyoncé, 26, and Jay-Z, 38, have been dating since year 2002, though the couple have stood reluctant to discuss their relationship publicly. Rumors about their romance began circulating after the singer appeared on Jay-Z’s song “03 Bonnie & Clyde,” followed by collaborations on Beyoncé’s solo hit “Crazy in Love,” in 2003.
Beyoncé once said, “You can’t rush a man into anything - whether it’s a relationship, marriage or having children. When he’s ready, he’ll let you know.”
Kanye West And Jim Jones Paying Tribute To Jay-Z Online, Thanks To Dame Dash?
Kareem "Biggs" Burke, Jay-Z and Dame Dash (Roc-A-Fella)
Dame Dash and Kareem “Biggs” Burke laughed on Monday (October 15) when they came up with a new crew name on the spot: “Block-A-Fella.” The “Block” in question refers to their new social-networking Web site, BlockSavvy.com, which has also served as a platform for Dame to blog and, maybe most significantly, resurrect Roc-A-Fella Records material from when Dash and Burke were tight with Jay-Z.
They were so tight that a few years ago, Dame wanted to pay tribute to his onetime inseparable buddy by having several artists on the label remake some of Hov’s tunes from his various albums. The project was called Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.
On November 6, Roc-A-Fella Records and JAY-Z will release the new album AMERICAN GANGSTER. Separate from the official motion picture soundtrack, this collection of all-new original material is a musical journey and lyrical interpretation of snapshots from the upcoming motion picture American Gangster, which pairs Oscar® winners Denzel Washington and Russell Crow.
