The death was announced by Apple, the company Mr. Jobs and his high school friend Stephen Wozniak started in 1976 in a suburban California garage.

Elizabeth Taylor, the legendary actress has died, her publicist told CNN on Wednesday. She was 79.

Taylor died “peacefully today in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles,” said a statement from her publicist. She was hospitalized six weeks ago with congestive heart failure, “a condition with which she had struggled for many years.

Taylor is well-known for “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf” (1966), “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” (1958), “Giant” (1956) and “ll My Children” (1970).
