In the beginning this year, I have posted a list of movies you should not missed in 2007, now that 2007 is almost over, I realize that there are way too many movies that comes out in 2007, some of them I have completely missed out putting them in the list (with opening dates for US in bracket).
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, also known as Aliens vs. Predator 2 picks up immediately from what Alien vs. Predator has left. The Predator known as “Scar” was impregnated by a Facehugger before being killed by an Alien Queen at the end of the first movie.
A Predalien (Predalien is an Alien born from a Predator host, and is not a hybrid) is born on board his clan’s ship causing rampages throughout the ship. A Predator tries to kill the Predalien with his plasma caster but he shoots a hole in the ship causing it to crash into the forests outside of Gunnison, Colorado. The crash has killed all the Predators on board but somewhat, the Facehuggers survive and quickly attack the townspeople to impregnate them.

The crash has caused the ship to send a distress call to the Predators’ homeworld in which the Predators quickly send one of their own, a "cleaner" (nicknamed “Wolf”) to destroy the Aliens and the Predalien and to wipe out the evidence using tubes of blue liquid.
The people of Gunnison, led by Dallas Howard (Steven Pasquale), a former convict, has to defend themselves from these mythical creatures and many has died before they even know what they are facing. Though as seen in Alien vs. Predator, which the Predator has befriended a human who helps the battle against the Aliens, the townsfolk in Gunnison have never in their life faced the Aliens nor the Predator, therefore, treat the Predator as an enemy as well. Many humans are killed by the Predator as well, as these people has attacked or tried to stop the Predator from doing his job.
The military sends a small number of land troops to Gunnison, knowing what they are actually facing – they rather not waste any resources. All the ground troopers are wiped by the Aliens and Predalien. When Eddie Morales (John Ortiz) has asked for additonal military help, Col. Stevens replies hesitantly that they can only send airship and has asked Eddie and all the survivors to gather in the middle of the town.
Predator vs. Predalien
Meanwhile, the group of survivors led by Dallas has to fight through the hospital floors to get to the helicopter on top of the hospital. Dallas manages to grab hold of Predator’s plasma caster which has proven helpful in killing a number of Aliens. After they have finally get on board the helicopter, the Predator and the Predalien keep on fighting but in the end, the entire Gunnison town is blown up by a bomb dropped by an airplane ordered by Col. Stevens. Everybody dies (including the Predator and the Predalien) except a few in the helicopter (even though the chopper has crashed), Ricky Howard (Johnny Lewis), Kelly O’Brien (Reiko Aylesworth) and her daughter, Molly (Ariel Gade).
In the ending scene, an unknown woman only identified as Ms. Yutani (played by Françoise Yip, yes, the pornstar) is seen talking to Col. Steven about a weapon which the human race is not ready for – a plasma caster, which is owned by the Predators. Ms. Yutani just tells Col. Steven that the weapon is not for the human to get ready for but for something else. Sequel? Definitely!
My ratings: 7.5 out of 10. The film is fully action-packed, gory and bloodier than the first film and the only negative thing about the film is that it is way too short especially when the entire town is blown up when the Predator and the Predalien is still in the midst of what seems to be a great fight.
