According to a researcher in Tokyo, Japan, music and sound not only can affect your mind but it can also make physical changes to your body.

The theory is that if women’s minds and bodies respond to the ringtone in the same way that they are known to respond to a real crying baby, then they will experience the same physiological effects as if they heard the real thing. If it’s heard often enough, over time their breasts will grow bigger.

Aiko is the most humanoid robot developed with Biometric Artificial Intelligence Neural System (Brain) — she can talk and interact with humans with 13,000 sentence, identify objects, and recognize intruders and immediately switch to a defense mode. And if it is raining outdoors, she will bring you an umbrella. Aiko is the brainchild of Le Trung. His dream to have Aiko to be as human-like as possible.

Aiko is 5.3 feet (162cm) tall with 32.28 inch (82 cm) bust, 22.44 inch (57 cm) waist and 33.07 inch (84 cm) hip. The lovely Aiko speaks Japanese and English and can respond to annoyances and questions. If you squeeze her cheeks or other parts of her anatomy she will tell you, “That hurts or stop touching me.”

Aiko at Ontario Science Center: November 22-23, 2008:

Aiko has silicone in her entire body. And Aiko even has sensors in her body including her private parts. And Le Trung also mentioned, “Aiko is still a virgin, AND NO I do not sleep with her.” to the curious out there.

Unhappy people watch more television than happier people, according a study by a University of Maryland researcher.

University sociologist John P. Robinson said by using results from nearly 40,000 people between the ages of 18 and 64, his researchers found a significant correlation between an individual’s reported level of happiness and the amount of television they watched. However, Robinson said there was no clear indication whether unhappiness prompted more TV watching or vice versa.

“It could be that watching television makes you unhappy, but there is also the question of whether people who are unhappy turn to television as a way to ward off their unhappiness,” he said.

Happy individuals spent nearly 19 hours each week watching television while their unhappy counterparts watch an average 21 hours of TV. Two hours separate them?

How about you? How many hours of television do you watch each week?

Most of us would have guessed it’s a family sitting down inside a house with a window and a shrubbery tree outside.

What’s on the woman’s head? When scientists showed a similar sketch to people from East Africa, nearly all of them said she was balancing a box on her head. While westerners would have guessed these people are inside a house, others would say they are sitting underneath a tree. Interesting.

According to the psychologists from Durham and St Andrews Universities, women see feminine-looking male as more committed and less likely to cheat on their partners. It is also known that men with masculine faces, with features such as a square jaw, larger nose and smaller eyes, were classed as significantly more dominant, less faithful, worse parents and as having personalities that were less warm, compared to their ‘feminine’ counterparts, who had finer facial features with fuller lips, wide eyes and thinner, more curved eyebrows.

The study also found that healthier faces were seen as more desirable in terms of all personality traits and similarly older faces were generally viewed more positively compared to younger ones.

You are defined by how you sleep – at least your personality. Scientists believe the position in which a person goes to sleep provides an important clue about the kind of person they are. Certain people believe this is only pseudoscience and may not be real. Whichever it is, check out which one are you?

The Foetus (41%): Those who curl up in the foetus position are described as tough on the outside but sensitive at heart. They may be shy when they first meet somebody, but soon relax. This is the most common sleeping position, adopted by 41% of the 1,000 people who took part in the survey. More than twice as many women as men tend to adopt this position.

Log (15%): Lying on your side with both arms down by your side. These sleepers are easy going, social people who like being part of the in-crowd, and who are trusting of strangers. However, they may be gullible.

The yearner (13%): People who sleep on their side with both arms out in front are said to have an open nature, but can be suspicious, cynical. They are slow to make up their minds, but once they have taken a decision, they are unlikely ever to change it.

Soldier (8%): Lying on your back with both arms pinned to your sides. People who sleep in this position are generally quiet and reserved. They don’t like a fuss, but set themselves and others high standards.

Freefall (7%): Lying on your front with your hands around the pillow, and your head turned to one side. Often gregarious and brash people, but can be nervy and thin-skinned underneath, and don’t like criticism, or extreme situations.

Starfish (5%): Lying on your back with both arms up around the pillow. These sleepers make good friends because they are always ready to listen to others, and offer help when needed. They generally don’t like to be the centre of attention.

By taking in air at the head end of the mattress, the dual fans at the foot pull it through a soft membrane that expands to become an air-cushion, bringing cool air in past your head and through the bed. Better still, the bed is so ecological, it saves energy and money!

The main objective of this tunnel is to solve the problem of flash floods in Kuala Lumpur and also to reduce traffic jams along Jalan Sungai Besi and Loke Yew flyover at Pudu during rush hour. There are two components of this tunnel, the stormwater tunnel and motorway tunnel. It is the longest stormwater tunnel in South East Asia and second longest in Asia.
