Starbucks Logo Shows Partially Covered Breasts

The new Starbucks logo which shows a mermaid with partially-covered breasts has created controversy.

A Christian group based in San Diego called The Resistance says the logo looks like a naked woman with her legs spread like a prostitute. The group is calling for a national boycott of Starbucks.

In Germany, several of the country’s federal states are introducing smoking bans on Jan. 1, 2008.

A German restaurateur has come up with a novel solution to a new ban on smoking in restaurants: He has made three holes in the wall of his restaurant so that customers can smoke “outside.”

This year, 2007, Haägen-Dazs has come out with its very own Haägen-Dazs ice-cream mooncake for mid-autumn festival like all the previous years. The flavors include Macadamia Nut, Strawberry, Cookies and Cream and Chocolate Green Tea. The substitute for egg-yolk is, of course, like the previous years – the usual mango sorbet. Each mooncake is coated with rich, creamy Belgian chocolate.

There are many things in life one should try before they die, and Häagen-Dazs Fondue is certainly one of them!

Available in most Häagen-Dazs Cafés, Häagen-Dazs Fondue consists of small scoops of ice-cream, fruits (apple, banana, strawberry – may differ in other countries), strawberry swiss rolls, chocolate chip cookies (I believe they’re Famous Amos) and cheese cakes! Of course, all these come with melted chocolate and sprinkles of peanuts for dipping.

Häagen-Dazs Fondue is delectable and irresistible!

The fondue can be served for two person or more. Of course, the more people, the less you get to eat. The price is MYR 59.90 or MYR 69.20 after adding a 10% service tax and 5% government tax.

Last weekend, my friends and I had the opportunity to savor some Vietnamese-fusion food at Hot Mama Restaurant. Located on the 4th floor of Sungei Wang Plaza, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Hot Mama has been receiving quite some rave reviews from the local food bloggers, so I have decided to try it out.

Asides the poor services, the food tastes quite alright while the ambiance is awesome amidst the noisy afternoon. The price is quite reasonable too. Overall, the place is worth visiting despite the bad service and poor understanding of English the waiting staff have.
