The King might have struggled to give a speech, but that did not fail to stop it from winning the top prize at the 2011 Oscars. "The King’s Speech" triumphed over nine other films to win the Best Picture. Colin Firth, who played King George VI in The King’s Speech also won the Actor in a Leading Role for his role in the film. "The King’s Speech" also won Original Screenplay as well.

"Inception" won the top prizes in Cinematography, Music (Original Score), Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and Visual Effect. "Alice in Wonderland" won the top prizes in Art Direction and Costume Design.
Other notably winners include Natalie Portman who won Actress in a Leading Role for "Black Swan", Christian Bale who won Actor in Supporting Role for "The Fighter", "Toy Story 3" for Animated Featured Film.
