Obama Won 2009 Nobel Peace Prize

President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for “his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”. The announcement comes as a surprise to many as Obama won the Noble prize after just eight months he becomes the President and the nomination for the prize came less than two weeks after Obama took office.

It is silly that Obama was won a Nobel Peace Prize. Could they not have waited until he actually did something good? So far he has just been an average president. The hype surrounding him is bigger than anything he has accomplished yet. I’m sure he’ll do some good things while in office, but why is he getting award before even doing those things?

“President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize”…
…and joined the elite club of “great” people like Yasser Arafat etc.

What an honor.
