Bright Star is a romantic drama based on the three-year romance between 19th century poet John Keats (Ben Whishaw) and Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish), which was cut short by Keats’ untimely death at age 25. Starring Abbie Cornish, Ben Whishaw, Paul Schneider, Bright Star opens on September 16, 2009.

    I’m glad Jane campion decided to step back into the director’s chair for this one. I don’t think anyone else could have captured the heart of the story like her.
