A lost world in Papua New Guinea is discovered by a team of scientists from Britain, the United States and Papua New Guinea. It is believed that the scientists have found more than 40 unidentified species on Mount Bosavi, which include a giant rat (the biggest in the world) which had no fear of humans, 16 frogs, at least three new fish and a new bat.

That’s a pretty amazing find. I could only imagine how well a rat with no fear of humans would adjust in a large city.
any idea how big the rat was? just shows how diverse our world is!
I love it when they make these finds. Itd be cool to see a photo of that rat…
I think I saw this make it to the front page of yahoo earlier today, I love it when they make new scientific discoveries!
Till then,

Personally I hope they just leave the rat there and not mess with it. If a species like this were to be let loose on a city, it would take over. I’d hate to see that kind of rat become a party of the civilized world.
