Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds Marry in Canada

Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds had a small wedding in Canada last weekend according to People.

The wedding was attended by only a handful of close friends and family at a remote wilderness retreat outside of Vancouver, B.C.

The couple had announced their engagement in May.

Reynolds was previously engaged to singer Alanis Morissette. Coincidentally, Morrissette’s latest album, Flavors of Entanglement contains a bonus song titled "The Guy Who Leaves" — wonder if it’s referring to Reynolds?

Anyway, congratulations to the couple.

Pathology (2008) – Movie Review

Pathology is a thriller film about a group of medical residents studying pathology. Pathology simply means "the science or the study of the origin, nature, and course of disease".

A group of medical residents studying pathology devise a deadly game: to see which one of them can commit the perfect murder.

When Dr. Ted Grey (Milo Ventimiglia) graduates top of his class in Harvard, he joins one of the nation’s most prestigious Pathology programs. Dr. Grey is quickly noticed by the elite band of pathology interns since he is always showing off his incredible talent of identifying the cause of death of the bodies in the resident.

Dr. Jake Gallo (Michael Weston) brings Dr. Grey to a night-out he will never forget. The next morning, as usual, there are incoming dead bodies for the residents to identify the cause of death. Dr. Ted Grey recalls the dead body belongs to the big and brawny African-American whom Gallo and him has met the previous night.

He is invited by Dr. Gallo to play a secret after-hour game at the morgue and intrigued, he begins to realize the game is about committing the perfect undetectable murder. Before long, its Dr. Grey’s turn. Grey is on the way home in a bus when an elderly woman had a heart-attack. Instead of helping, Grey goes down and finds the elderly woman in the hospital. There, he shuts the old woman’s mouth and gives her a lethal injection through her left ear.

Dr. Grey is having a fine time smoking pot and drinking alcohol while killing people until the group’s ring leader, Dr. Gallo finds out that Grey is sleeping with his girlfriend, Dr. Juliette Bath (Lauren Lee Smith). Ted’s fiancée, Gwen Williamson (Alyssa Milano) comes back with Ted from a brief holiday and stays with him in his apartment. Gallo then tells Grey not to miss the meeting tomorrow night which creates a precaution for Grey. During the next meeting, it appears that the subject on the operating table is Dr. Juliette Bath — Gallo kills her for her infidelity. However, a massive explosion occurs when one of the group members lights a meth pipe, killing everyone except Dr. Grey and Dr. Gallo.

It is Dr. Grey who has attempted to kill all the members in the group, but unfortunately for him, Dr. Gallo escapes with minor burns. When Dr. Grey realizes Dr. Gallo is missing from the count of bodies, he hurries back to his apartment only to find his fiancée, Gwen lying dead in his bed. After completing his autopsy report on Gwen, Grey is knocked out and tied up by Gallo. Then, both of them argue on who has finally won the game by putting up the perfect undetectable murder. Grey laughs and as he describes to Gallo how Gallo has killed Gwen. A fellow pathologist, Dr. Ben Stavinsky (Keir O’Donnell) comes from behind and gags Gallo with a piece of cloth filled with chemical to make Gallo partially unconscious. Then, Dr. Stavinsky injects Potassium into Gallo’s underarms which leaves Gallo with only 7 minutes to live. Stavinsky frees Grey and together, when there are 30 seconds left before Gallo dies, they commence dissecting a still alive Gallo by cutting open his chest.

Overall, Pathology is a brilliant film with unimaginable plots with solid performance from Milo Ventimiglia (who is famous for his role, Peter Petrelli in Heroes).

My ratings: 7 out of 10.
