Iron Man is a superhero movie based on the fictional Marvel Comics character Iron Man directed by Jon Favreau. The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark a.k.a. Iron Man, Terrence Howard as Lt. Colonel James Rhodes, Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane a.k.a. Iron Monger and Gwyneth Paltrow as Tony Stark’s hot personal assistant, Pepper Potts.
Iron Man stars Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) as a billionaire industrialist whose core business is making weapons. While testing Stark Industries’ latest missile creation called "The Jericho" in Afghanistan, he is kidnapped by a ruthless Middle Eastern terrorist organization who called themselves "Ten Rings".
The film then goes back 36 hours earlier to show what happens before Stark’s journey in Afghanistan, which includes a one-night stand with a reporter named Christine Everhart (Leslie Bibb).
Back to the future, though critically injured and almost die, Stark is saved by Yinsen (Shaun Toub), a mysterious stranger who comes to his rescue. Miraculously, Yinsen is multilingual and knows many languages, from Arab to Urdu to Mongolian. Yinsen uses an electromagnet which keeps the shrapnel from piercing Stark’s heart.
As the terrorists of "Ten Rings" enters the cave Stark and Yinsen are hiding, they both surrender and Stark is forced to create "The Jericho" missile for them. As Yinsen persuades Stark to find a way out of there, Stark first creates a very technologically-advanced heart for himself before building the rest of Iron Man. When the leader of Ten Rings suspects Stark is not working on "The Jericho" missile, he almost kills Yinsen whose life is only spared as Stark undoubtedly tells the terrorist leader that he needs Yinsen as he is a good assistant. Stark manages to create the ultimate bulletproof suit of power armor, complete with pacemaker and flamethrowers and releases himself from his captor but Yinsen dies in the process while trying to help Stark to buy time.
However, since the Iron Man suit is the first creation, it fails after flying in midair and crashed onto a desert with the Iron Man suit fall apart into a thousand pieces only to have Lt. Colonel James Rhodes (Terrence Howard) to rescue Stark.
Now back at the States, his partner Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges) and especially his personal assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) is extremely happy to see him alive and kicking. When Potts insists to bring Stark to the hospital for checkup, all Stark wants is a Burger King’s Cheeseburger and to call for an immediate press conference. In the press conference, Stark requests all the reporters to sit down while he eats his cheeseburger. He immediately announces the shut down of Stark Industries weapon manufacturing to which his partner, Stane strongly disapproves.
Back at home, Stark builds a more advanced heart for himself and gets Potts to replace his "old" heart which he tells Potts to throw and burn it. Stark improves his armor and becomes the technologically advanced superhero Iron Man. After numerous testings, his advanced armor suit ends up in gold with red paint. Almost immediately, Stark puts in his latest Iron Man suit, flies to Gulmira, Afghanistan and kills the terrorists who at that point of time are kidnapping women and children and killing men.

Meanwhile, the Ten Rings terrorists manage to find pieces of armor left by Stark. The leader of Ten Rings, Raza (Faran Tahir) is seen meeting Stane in discussion of the remained of the armor suits found in the desert. Despite being the man who sells weapons to Ten Rings, Stane orders his men to finish off the remainders of the terrorists and left the place with the armor suit.
Back in United States, Stane gathers a group of scientists to build a more advanced Iron Man called Iron Monger. The only thing missing is the way too technological-advanced heart that Stark has built for himself. So, Stane uses a disapproved highly-advanced sound wave weapon to temporarily immobilize Stark in order to grab his heart.
Stark is lucky as his assistant, Potts has kept his "old" heart in a properly framed glass which simply says “Stark has a heart”. He struggles to reach the framed glass but his robotic assistant lends him a hand.
The fight between Iron Man and Iron Monger then pursues but not for long before the film ends with Tony Stark at a press conference revealing himself as the Iron Man.
Overall, the movie is awesome and is possibly the best-ever film adapted from a comic book. Funny, smart and properly plotted, this is probably the best movie so far for the 2008 movies.

“Violet Hill”, Coldplay’s first single from the new album Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends will be available as a free download from their website www.coldplay.com for one week starting tomorrow, April 29 at 7.15pm (+8:00 GMT) or April 29 at 3:15am (Pacific Time).
For the first time, the single will be simultaneously played on radio and available free exclusively from the website, a week ahead of its general digital release. The digital release will be a conventional paid-for release on May 6.

Superbad is a super funny 2008 comedy movie written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Directed by Greg Mottola and produced by Judd Apatow, the film receives critical and commercial success due to Apatow’s previous film, Knocked Up.

Evan (Michael Cera) and Seth (Jonah Hill) are best friends since kindergarten and are in their final year of school about to leave for college. However, they will be separated in college since they will not be in the same college as the latter one is not as smart as Evan.
Jules (Emma Stone) is hosting a party and asks Seth to bring alcohol and he agrees, as their mutual friend, Fogell, (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) has recently acquired a fake ID. Meanwhile, Evan agrees to go to the party after his long time crush Becca (Martha MacIsaac) invites him to the party as well despite the initial “maybe” after Seth is spat by one of the bullies who warn Seth and Evan not to go to the party.
After school, Seth and Evan find out that Fogell is an idiot because he gets a fake ID with just one-name and it’s "McLovin". Fogell argues that he initially wants to choose "Mohamad" as it is the most common name but ends up choosing "McLovin" instead.
While buying the alcohol, Fogell is hit in the face by a hooded robber and the police arrive. The two officers, Michaels (Seth Rogen, yes, one of the writers of the film) and Slater (Bill Hader), who seem to be fooled by the fake ID, offer Fogell a lift to the party.
When Seth and Evan see the police officers talking to Fogell, they think he is busted and decide to find their own alcohol instead. Seth is accidentally hit by a car and as compensation, the driver (Joe Lo Truglio) agrees to take them to a party, where they reason they can take all alcohol they need.
When arrive at the party, Francis the driver is seen as not welcome to the party and is forced to leave. Evan bails on Seth, as Seth is left alone to smuggle the alcohol they need. As the party has started, Seth is pushed into the dance crowd and Gaby (Marcella Lentz-Pope) flirts with Seth on the dance floor without knowing Gaby is Mark’s fiancee. Seth is laughed by the others when they see blood stain of Gaby on his pants. When Mark knows about Seth’s dancing with his fiancee, he tries to start a fight but accidentally hit another party-goer instead as Seth dodges. As a fight erupts between Mark and some drug addicts, Seth and Evan escape together with laundry detergent containers that have been filled with beer.
Meanwhile, the police officers display many instances of incompetence, including drinking on the job, unnecessary use of police lights, and improper use of a gun. They quickly become friends, referring to Fogell as McLovin.
Seth and Evan get into an argument about their friendship when Fogell, officer Slater, and officer Michaels happen to hit Seth with their police car. As officer Slater prepares to bust the teens to cover up his own blunder, the boys flee into the dark. The three finally arrive at Jules’ party with the alcohol.
At the party, a drunken Becca nearly seduces Evan as they end up in bed but ends up vomiting. A drunken Seth attempts to explain his feelings for Jules, but ends up head-butting her when he passes out on her, resulting in a black eye. Fogell successfully seduces Nicola (Aviva Farber) with his fake ID and gets her into bed, only to have officers Slater and Michaels interrupt. Seth, realizing Evan is passed out on a couch, carries his friend away and back to Evan’s house. They reconcile, realizing they actually love each other. Officers Slater and Michaels reveal to Fogell that they were aware of his fake ID all along, but they wanted to show him they were normal guys too. They return him a favor for blocking his chance with Nicola by pretending to haul him off to jail in front of the entire party to boost his popularity. When the bully who spat on Seth sees Fogell, he tries spitting on him too but ends up spitting on official Slater, who in return knocks him out with his baton.
The following day, Evan and Seth run into Becca and Jules at the mall as they are shopping for Evan’s comforter for his college. Seth ends up taking Jules to get cover up for her eye, while Evan takes Becca off to look for comforters. The two guys take a long, private stare at each other before they part ways with their new girlfriends.
My ratings: 8 out of 10. Definitely not superbad, but the movie super kick ass!
