Radiohead Shocks Music Industry With Free Download of Album, Well, Almost Free

On October 10, 2007, fans of Radiohead can choose to pay as little as 45 pence, about $1 USD, the credit card handling fees for Radiohead’s latest album, “In Rainbows”. Fans can choose to pay whatever price they feel like paying.

While this may cause a further shakeup of the music industry because other big artists may now demand better contract deals under threat of leaving and distributing music themselves like Radiohead. Soon, we may hear questions like why do we need Record Label, anyway? We can either create our own Record Label or sell it like Radiohead!

You can download “In Rainbows” album from October 10, 2007 onwards.
