I’m not a really hardcore Mozilla Firefox user but I found these shortcuts can be quite useful for some of you out there.
Handy searches that can be performed in the address bar.
Google Quicksearch
Type “google ” in the location bar to perform a Google search.
Dictionary.com Quicksearch
Type “dict ” in the location bar to perform a dictionary look-up.
Stock Symbol Quicksearch
Type “quote ” in the location bar to perform a stock symbol look-up.
Wikipedia Quicksearch
Type “wp ” in the location bar to look up something in Wikipedia, a free online encyclopedia.
Urban Dictionary
Type “slang ” in the location bar to look up something in the people’s slang dictionary.
